\nLanguage learnability provides essential information about the placement of a student in an educational process. Experience has shown that choosing the most appropriate route (‘slow’ or ‘fast’) for a prospective student depends on the rate at which students are expected to learn Dutch.
\nA student may need a lot of assistance in learning the language or a student may be naturally adept at language learning. This is key information that helps in choosing the route that must be taken during the intake.
\nEducation levels of the prospective students also draws some conclusions: the higher the education, the greater the probability that a student is able to learn a new language quickly, without much guidance. But the criterion of ‘training’ is nevertheless seen as sufficiently adequate. There are several reasons:
\nin the absence of a certificate, progress can not be monitored or evaluated;
\nlack of knowledge about the actual content of the educational programs for primary, secondary and higher education in other countries;
\nlearning ability is not always reflected in school experience
\nThe test is suitable for:
\nSecondary education
\nVocational
\nHigher education
\nCivic and \/ or reintegration, in language training, in-company or in the recruitment and selection of new staff

\nThe Language Learnability key is a relatively short test for all kinds of jobs. These orders are clustered around (cognitive) tasks: making analogies, completing sets, organization and work with symbols. The learning ability test determines whether the (prospective) student mastered skills that facilitate learning a language (NT2). These underlying skills are derived from widely used teaching materials and methods that prevent it.
\nStudents who are presented with the key don\u2019t need to know how to speak Dutch (yet). However, they must be familiar with the Latin script.
\nThe test consists of 23 tasks divided over 7 parts. These tasks are selected based on their ability, discriminating between ‘slow’ and ‘fast’ trainees. Each part is preceded, in the key, by one or more examples.
