State Exam

State exams NT2 and the Reference Levels.

Staatsexamen (STEX) Programma 1 of 2:
Programma I is intended for people who want to work or
study at mbo-3 or -4 level. The language level of this program
is B1 (CEFR). This language level broadly corresponds to 2F. Program II is for people who want to work or study at
the hbo or university. The language level of this program is B2
(CEFR). This language level broadly corresponds to 3F. Many programs require non-native speakers to have a Diploma Staatsexamen
NT2 as proof of language proficiency. It is important to know that
a Diploma Staatsexamen NT2 is a starting certificate; during the
education, holders of the diploma will have to continue to develop their language skills
. The Diploma Staatsexamen NT2 cannot provide an exemption
for Dutch tests that serve during or at the completion of a
education. Dutch education is subject to the
reference levels (F-levels) named in the
Reference Framework for Language and Mathematics.

In addition to language level requirements, courses may also

This allows the teacher to respond optimally to the specific needs of
the participant(s). For those wishing to retake one or more of the exam components
Bogaers organizes separate language training courses. Is a loan possible?
Through DUO (Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs) civic integration students can get a loan
for a language course and the exam.

Some students
only have to repay 30% of the loan for the course
if they pass the exam. Bogaers can help you apply for
a loan. What CEFR/ERK level do the NT2 state exams correspond to ?
– The reference levels for language (1F, 2F, 3F and 4F) apply to the subject Dutch in Dutch education

– Level 2F is the final level for the courses
at mbo-2 and -3 level.
– Level B1 of ERK/CEFR is very similar to level 2F.
– Level 3F applies as the final level for havo and mbo-4.
– Level B2 is very similar to level 3F.
